If you are a graduate student who is not a native English speaker, this workshop will provide helpful advice on how to address grammatical issues and other challenges as it relates to writing a cover letter to apply for jobs. Our guest speaker, Chia-Ying Pan from the Weingarten Learning Resource Center, will cover the following topics:
1. Introduction - What is a cover letter? Examine a cover letter from an intercultural perspective
2. Ten commonly made mistakes in a cover letter for non-native speakers of English
3. Strategies to avoid the mistakes and polish your cover letter
